Project Details This is a teaching project with a difference, not only do you gain all the traditional experiences that teaching in a developing country offers but you have the opportunity to do it in a spiritually settling and tranquil environment.
Furthermore the project is free! Unlike many teaching projects this school has a genuine need for teachers. As a result your contribution will be truly valued for the impact it makes on the children rather than any potential profit.
Teaching in Omkareshwar holds the rewards of teaching wonderfully happy, eager and grateful children. Being in Omkareshwar offers a chance to overcome modern stresses and find happiness through a simple lifestyle and reliable routine.
Project Information · Minimum 1 months teaching: we ask that you stay for at least a month, if you choose to stay for longer that’s fine. 1 weeks notice is requested before leaving the school. Teaching 6 days a week, days-off can be requested and accommodated. · The school year starts 1st September and ends 1st May. · Teaching responsibilities differ depending on candidates capabilities to be discussed prior to arrival · Accommodation within the Ashram and food provided: simple accommodation with your very own western toilets and tap for washing (no showers); food is amazingly good!
Requirements · Ideal candidate: speaking Hindi is advantageous though not required, teaching experience or TEFEL qualification · Acceptable candidate: anyone with the right attitude who passes a police check and has some interest in teaching · All potential candidates will be interviewed before acceptance
How to sign-up · Sit an interview (see contact details below to organise) · Get to Omkareshwar: arrangements can be made to have someone meet you in Indore if required. Advice will be offered on travelling to Omkareshwar.
